Cards will be shown to coaches and spectators.

Referees have the following requirements when doing a game:

  1. Have the current year Cal South Referee ID Card (Show to each team rep before game).
  2. Must conduct a proper team check-in (May use printed roster or online application).
  3. Team Admin MUST SIGN roster before game (Coach and Players must have an ID card).
  4. Within 24 hours Center MUST REPORT GAME online and send copy to director listed.
  5. Report all issues to Presidio Soccer League (Missing numbers, bad behavior, etc).
  6. Complete Cash on the Field paperwork.
  7. Must have a properly licensed coach for the entire game.

Parent-Sideline Ejection Rule - (New for 2019)

Our 7 v 7 and 9 v 9 Modifications are the latest revisions from U.S. Soccer. What every was use in Pre-Season Tournaments are not used in Presidio Soccer or SDDA Leagues.

Concussions and Injuries:

A player suspected of sustaining a Concussion, Head Injuries and/or Brain Trauma MUST BE IMMEDIATELY REMOVED FROM PLAY and the Referee is MUST REPORT USING THE ONLINE REPORT AND NOTING IT ON THE GAME REPORT. The player shall not be permitted to return to play until he or she is evaluated by a licensed health care provider.

Players, parents and coaches have acknowledged annually by receiving a concussion and head injury information sheet or completing a concussion and head injury education program. If the coach or parnet insists on having the player return to play without approved clearance the referee will end the game, and note the circumstances in his report.

U.S. Soccer's Concussion Initiative

  • Per U.S. Soccer’s Concussion Initiative, if a player is suspected to have a head injury the referee is instructed to stop play to allow for treatment/evaluation as needed.
  • If the player leaves the field of play for additional evaluation, a substitution can be made in that moment.
  • The player with the suspected head injury may not return to the game unless a Health Care Professional (HCP) or Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) has cleared the player.
  • Any coach or parent insisting on returning the player to the game without approved clearance will result in the referee ending the game.

How to Score Your Game (Center Referee must score game within 24 hours)

Sending Game Report to Presidio Director:

To send a copy of the game report to a Presidio Director is really simple if you have a smart phone and can be done in about 30 seconds. Here are a few apps that can be used to send your game report.

Referee Associations

Presidio Soccer League member leagues are required to contract with and use an approved Referee Association:

San Diego County Soccer Referee Association

San Diego Soccer Referee Association

Temecula Valley Soccer Referee Association

Member league's contract directly with the Referee Associations of their choice. Associations are required to use currently registered U.S. Soccer Federation referees and listed as "Approved" on the CalSouth website:
